Three core objectives underline our overall investment philosophy: Preserve capital, minimize risk, and maximize cash flow. We employ a customized long-term, globally diversified strategy, which is focused on the charitable demands of the organization.
Our investment team believes the right mix is key, and while we are looking at the markets daily, our allocation decisions are designed for long-term results. We typically rebalance every six months — or if drastic changes in market conditions call for a reevaluation of the mix.
When designing your portfolio, we pay close attention to the cost-to-benefit trade off of all investments (i.e., management fees associated with some funds). We collaborate with the nonprofits’ finance committee to make these types of investment decisions, and implement them in adherence to a comprehensive investment policy statement (IPS).
